传统的「 meeting point」正在“消失”，很多人对已有的「 meeting point」视而不见。智能手机似乎无所不能，人们很难在简单的物理空间里迷失方向。

策划「meeting point」概念设计竞赛的初衷是期望通过重新思考和创作来赋予传统的「meeting point」一些新功能、新活力……

怎样设计未来的「 meeting point」？一个标志性很强的艺术装置？还是一个很有趣味性、可以互动的智能建筑设计模块？

人类生活的地球，各种灾难频发生，是否需要思考在没有电力、通讯信号、网络等，一些特定环境下的「meeting point」是否可以是临时的安全避难所？

期望这次「meeting point」概念设计竞赛能激发设计师的创作热情，就这个概念设计竞赛主题开展深入的思考与大胆创作。

The traditional “meeting point” is disappearing, and many people turn a blind eye to the existing “meeting point”. Smartphones seem to be omnipotent. and it is difficult to lose their way in simple physical spaces.

“meeting point” concept design competition is to give the traditional “meeting point” some new functions and new vitality through re-thinking and re-design…

How to design the future “meeting point”? It is an iconic art installation? Or is it a very interesting and interactive intelligent building module?

Now we could see that various disasters happen frequently. Do we need to think about whether the “meeting point” in some specific environments can be a temporary safe refuge in the absence of electricity, communication signals, networks, etc.?

It is hoped that the “meeting point” conceptual design competition could stimulate designers’ creative enthusiasm, and carry out in-depth thinking and bold creation on the theme of this conceptual design competition.

王受之 / SHOUZHI WANG
正教授，副院长，创意与艺术学院，上海科技大学
王受之，美籍华人，1946 年出生于广州，现代设计理论和历史专家，中国现代设计教 育的奠基人之一。
1980 年代在广州美术学院协同创立了工业设计专业，并且开创了现代设计史课程; 1990-2011 年在洛杉矶的艺术中心设计学院(Art Center College of Design)担任设计理论 教授;
2011-2018 年担任汕头大学长江艺术与设计学院院长;
2019 年开始担任上海科技大学创意与艺术学院副院长。
他曾在中央美术学院、中国美术学院、上海美术学院、鲁迅美术学院、澳门科技大学分 别担任博士生、硕士生导师或者教授课程。他是光华龙腾奖中国设计贡献奖金奖获得者。
